About the Event:
On April 25th, New Garden Friends School will launch a new arts and entertainment series for the Greater Greensboro community. The series, "Many Friends, Many Voices" is designed to heighten awareness of Greensboro's diverse and vibrant arts community. The first event, "Celebrating the Music of Greensboro" will be held in the historic Carolina Theatre, one of Greensboro's most revered downtown landmarks.

Diversity, service to the community and inclusivity are fundamental values held by the school. These arts events will serve as an opportunity for the school to celebrate these values with the Greater Greensboro community and to heighten the community's understanding of our commitment to exemplify diversity and inclusiveness in our educational philosophy, our curriculum and our practices.

We are honored to have Joan Garry as our keynote speaker. One of America's most vocal, passionate and effective civil rights leaders, Ms. Garry has a special affinity for New Garden Friends School and the innovative education we provide.

Childcare will be available at NGFS from 2:15 to 8pm for ages 5+. Parents can either pick up their children after the event or after the VIP party. If their children are attending the event and the parents wish to attend the after-party, there will be a bus to pick up children at the Carolina Theatre and take them back to NGFS until 8pm. We are requesting that parents make reservations for childcare.  Reservations for childcare for the Many Friends, Many Voices event, are being taken by Liz Fleming in the Development office.  Please call the school at 299-0964, ext. 2304 or email Liz Fleming at lizf@ngfs.org.
