Explore the Possibilities

In any economic climate, a New Garden Friends School education may well be one of the wisest investments you can make for your child. A study from the federal government’s National Center for Education Statistics recently revealed that more than 5 million students in the United States attend nearly 30,000 private elementary and high schools. Determining that a New Garden education is a best value for your student(s) is first and foremost and financial planning is key to sustaining affordability until graduation.

A Value in Education

Though we believe that New Garden Friends School offers educational opportunities that are second to none, we work hard to keep our tuition second to many. In fact, our costs consistently rank below the median of other leading private schools, both locally and nationally.

Financial Planning

For many families, affording an NGFS education takes planning. We employ several strategies to keep costs within reach. For these families, offering their children the opportunity to experience NGFS means making financial decisions and choices. During this planning, it is important for each family to realize that they bear the primary responsibility for financing their child’s education to the extent that they are able. NGFS is committed to offering help to families in planning and making appropriate choices to afford tuition. Options include the tuition payment plan, leadership scholarships for our eighth graders as they transition to our Upper School, and grant awards for families demonstrating financial need.

We work diligently to make an NGFS education available to as many worthy applicants and students as possible each year. We ask each family requesting financial assistance to complete a packet outlining their current financial circumstances. The information is evaluated by a third party, FAST (Financial Aid for School Tuition) who makes a recommendation on expected family contribution from your family. This and other information is provided to the Tuition Assistance Committee as they evaluate requests for your family and other applicants. The committee takes into consideration all the information provided, along with the recommendations from the FAST evaluations, so it is important that you share as much as possible so that we may make an informed decision.

We encourage you to explore the opportunities available to you and your family when deciding if an NGFS education is within reach.
