Maggie was an NGFS parent for 15 years for her two children, who are now alumni.
Prior to working at NGFS, Maggie worked for the YMCA for 11 years as their Family Service Director, Aquatics and Camp Director, Associate Executive. She also worked for four years in NC public schools. In November 2019, after working in admissions for many years, Maggie joined the Advancement Team. Maggie’s knowledge of the NGFS community, alumni, and school history made her a perfect candidate for engaging with alumni.
What does Maggie love about working at New Garden? "The people! I love working with families and telling them about our amazing staff. Working with the international families I learn something new about the world every day. Making these connections and broadening my world view in our inclusive community is enlightening and enriching to my life. I feel honored to be a part of the dedicated staff at NGFS."
In her spare time, Maggie enjoys being outside, gardening, working with animals, playing tennis, and reading books. She loves to travel and learn about other cultures, as well as spending time in or on water- lakes, rivers, or the ocean.
