Extended Care

for Guilford Campus students (preschool-grade 6)

  • Extended Care

The Extended Care program is structured to be consistent with the educational goals and philosophy of the school and follows the same health and safety protocols used in the classrooms. The program provides a nurturing atmosphere for students in the transition time between school and home. Opportunities and direction are given for a variety of individual/group, self-directed/structured, quiet/active, spontaneous/planned, and indoor/outdoor activities. Students are given guidance and support as needed for completing homework, exploring creatively, and playing cooperatively. Midway through the afternoon, a snack is provided.

Schedule and Enrollment Options

Extended Care is offered on the Guilford Campus for Lower School students (preschool-grade 6) for an additional fee. Hours of operation are 7:30-7:45 a.m. and in the afternoon from dismissal time until 6 p.m. The operation schedule is included on the Academic Calendar.

Students need to be enrolled in Extended Care in advance. Enrollment in Extended Care is completed through CampSite (detailed information below).

  • Sign Up for Extended Care for staff workdays before the 2025-26 school year begins (Aug 11-15 and Aug 18-19) is open in CampSite. These dates are not part of full-time Extended Care plans.
  • Extended Care enrollment for the 2025-26 school year will open in mid-August, and families will be notified via email.

Extended Care 2025-26 Rates

Extended Care is offered for an additional fee from 7:45-8 a.m. (Preschool-6th grades only) and in the afternoon until 6 p.m. (Preschool-6th grades).

For families who need Extended Care for the full school year, there are three full-time options:
Full-Time Extended CareRate
Morning and Afternoon Care$3750
Afternoon Care only$3650
Morning Care only$630

Enrollment in full-time Extended Care also includes most early dismissal days and staff workdays. Full-time plans run from August 20, 2025 to May 28, 2025 (Extended Care is not offered on the last day of school, May 29, 2025). 10% of the full-time plan rate is due at the time of enrollment, and the remainder may be billed in 9 installments, September-May.

For families who need occasional Extended Care, you may sign up in advance for the day(s) needed at the following rates:
  • Afternoon care - $24/day
  • Early dismissal days - $45/day
  • Teacher workdays - $70/day

Additional Fees

Unscheduled Attendance

Advanced sign-up is required for Extended Care in order for us to provide adequate staffing. We understand that emergencies happen and will always care for your children. Any student attending Extended Care without advanced enrollment for the day will be included in our program at a rate of $13.00/hour, to be charged at the end of the week through CampSite.

Late Pick-Up

Extended Care operates until 6 p.m. A late fee of $1.00/minute may be charged to the card on file in CampSite.
