POLARIS is an arts and literary magazine created by NGFS Upper School students and published near the end of EACH school year. All NGFS community members are invited to submit to the publication.
Dear Reader,
It’s that time again, and this year Polaris has a real treat for you. We have received an incredibly strong and unique array of submissions, each one a testament to the creativity, talent, and strength of the New Garden community. Even amidst the chaos and pain of global events this year, the world kept spinning. I know I found comfort and release in the arts during this frankly turbulent time; based on this edition of Polaris, many others have too.
Quantifying how life changes is no easy feat.The world, for better or worse, will not be the same as it was yesterday. With this knowledge, we can really only do one thing - keep living our lives and making the most of whatever we encounter. All of the editors at Polaris hope that this issue makes an impact on your day, perhaps basking in the art of others will inspire you to create your own? No matter what your day looks like, we hope you take the time to appreciate the art, prose, and poetry in the 2025 edition of Polaris.
