EXPLORE. GROW. BELONG.

Choosing the right school is one of the most important decisions a family can make. At New Garden Friends School, students are known, valued, and challenged from Preschool through 12th grade in a community guided by Quaker values.

Our students develop strong academic foundations, discover their unique gifts, and learn to lead with integrity, compassion, and purpose. Through engaging academics, meaningful relationships, and a commitment to inclusion, NGFS prepares students not only for college, but for a life of curiosity, service, and impact.

We invite you to experience the difference of a Friends education.

ADMISSIONS PROCESS

Inquire

Complete our Inquiry Form and schedule a conversation with a member of our Admissions Team. We're happy to answer your questions and help you learn more about the NGFS experience.

VISIT

Schedule a tour and experience our community firsthand. We encourage prospective students to attend so they can meet teachers, explore classrooms, and get a feel for daily life at NGFS.

APPLY

Submit your online application along with any required supporting documents, such as transcripts and teacher recommendations. Once your application is complete, we'll schedule a shadow day so your student can experience a day in the life of an NGFS student.

Admissions FAQ

How do I apply?

Once you’ve submitted an inquiry form and visited campus for a tour, our Admissions Team will guide you through the next steps of creating an application account. Please note that there is a $100 application fee.

Is there a deadline to apply?

New Garden Friends School encourages families to begin the process in the fall before their child's intended enrollment year. Starting early provides more flexibility to explore the program, visit campus, and complete all application requirements. The priority deadline is March 1, with rolling admissions as we have space after that.

Do you have a 2 year old program?

No. Our Preschool program starts at age 3 with our 3's class- Crocus. Students need to be 3 years old by September 1 to enroll in Crocus.

Does NGFS support students with learning differences?

NGFS is dedicated to providing an effective learning environment for all students; which  includes clearly conveying our educational limits to prospective families. We are not equipped to serve students whose needs would require a fundamental alteration to our program, and NGFS does not follow Individualized Education Plans (IEP's). Each applicant and every situation is considered on an individual basis. We invite you to contact us to discuss your child’s specific needs so that we can assess together whether our school is a suitable fit for your learner.

Do you require any testing as part of the application process?

Yes, some tests/assessments are administered during prospective student shadow days.

Do I bring my student with me to tour New Garden Friends School?

Yes. It is strongly encouraged that you bring your child with you to tour the school.

What if I have a student on both the Lower and Upper School campus? Who do I contact?

You can contact either Christene Skidmore (cskidmore@ngfs.org) or Aisha Dad (adad@ngfs.org). Either would be more than happy to assist you!
