NGFS App

Stay in the Know with the NGFS App!

The NGFS app is a valuable resource for our community. Frequently accessed sites and information are available ... right at your fingertips! Please be sure to install the App on your phone and subscribe to the groups that affect your family so you receive app notifications. Check your phone's settings to ensure notifications are enabled.

To install the free app:

Search for “New Garden Friends School” through the App Store or Google Play. When you install and open the App, you will be greeted by a welcome screen; from there, click “Get Started” and follow the prompts.

If you already have the App installed from last year:

The next time you access the app, you may be prompted to re-onboard (through the welcome screen). Follow the prompts to select the correct Divisions and Groups for this year.

Recommended Groups to select:
  • "Schoolwide" - as an NGFS App user, you are automatically in the Schoolwide group and will receive all whole-school related notifications (for example: reminder of early dismissal)
  • Under “Schoolwide” - select groups that apply to your student(s)
  • Under "Grades" - select all that are applicable to your family (for example: if you have a kindergarten and third grade student, select "Sunrise (K)" and "Horizon 3rd/4th").

If you have questions about the app, please contact Deana Allman, Director of Communications, here.

Summer Volleyball Clinics in July

For families of girls in grades 7-12 in the 2025-26 school year.

This information was sent via email on July 8, 2025 from athletics@ngfs.org. See the email message for the registration link.

Beginning the week of July 14th, we will be offering 5 optional volleyball skills clinics for girls entering grade 7-12 this upcoming school year. Each clinic is from 5 p.m.-6:15 p.m. on the following dates: July 14th, 15th, 21st, 22nd, and 23rd. By clicking on the link at the end of this email, players will be able to register for 1 session, multiple sessions, or all 5 sessions being offered this month.

The instructor for this month’s clinics is our new Volleyball Coach, Alyssa Vebber. Alyssa is a 28 year old mother to a 5 year old daughter, and a Greensboro native. Alyssa played her club volleyball at the Sportsplex all throughout middle and high school. She began working at the YMCA in high school and continued through college when she started to help coach their rec teams. Alyssa was a part of the Spears YMCA group that started the volleyball club team Spikeforce. She worked for the club from its inception, while also coaching for the program for 3 years before choosing to take a break to focus on being a mother. We are thankful that Alyssa has agreed to lead our Volleyball program this upcoming season and help our players further develop this summer by committing her time to leading our Volleyball clinics.

We hope to see all of you at some or all of our Volleyball clinics this summer! BearsUp!

To register, see the link in the email message.
